350th Sqdn. Crew joined the 100th on 12 sep 44.
Most probably this was their third or fourth mission. A/C # 43-37882 - MACR #9509 , Micro-fiche # 3486.
Eyewitness report; The A/C #882 received a direct flak burst between
engines 2 and 1. The wing burst into flame and the A/C peeled off, spinning and
burning - no chutes were seen. |
