In 2005, Mike Pratt and his wife Patty came in Belgium to visit the field-landing point and the area where we made a small monument in honor of the crew with the town of Couvin, (very small town at your scale-5000 people, Petigny the village of the crash 2000 people)

Picture 0077 is the monument with the president of the local historical circle and his wife (on left) on right my wife Marilyn and me.
Picture 0395 the plaque it self, the translation is : the February 20th, 1945 at the point called " the small channels" in Petigny field-landed without any damage for the crew the bomber B17G USAAF SN 42-97230 LD-O "LAY OR BUST", commemorative plaque inaugurated March 27th, 2005 in the presence of Mike Pratt, son of the pilot.

post-crash house : The house in Couvin where the crew slept his first night before returning to England ( During the war it was the German Kommandant's home - the inhabitants had lived in the basement during all the war from 1940 to September 1944 to leave the place to the Germans)

B17 Petigny: pictures of the pieces stored by Mr Manise as relics; he kindly gave the handle to Mike Pratt in 2005 so the handle is now in Mike's house in the USA, What a long way !!!
