When we started the Aircraft/Nose Art section on our web
site, people always asked the next logical question: Was
the nose art ever painted on an A-2 Jacket? What did it
look like? Over the years we have collected a nice array
of photographs depicting this artwork. We thought that
is was about time we shared those photos with you. Many
of these have come from private collections, Thorpe
Abbotts Tower Museum, Veterans, Family Members and my
own personal collection. I am sure there are many more
examples out there and we would encourage you too send
us a photo of your Painted A-2, B-3 or M-41 or M-43
field Jacket. Anything that contains artwork synonymous
with the 100th BG and its aircraft, we would love to
present here. Just send examples to us as JPEG's (300
bpi) to me.
Email Mike Faley.
We hope you enjoy the images, and a big thanks to Cindy
Goodman, our webmaster, for putting this section
together. |
