T/Sgt. Richard D. Hawkins, KIA 28 July 44.  Richard was attached to the flight crew of 2nd Lt. Wesley G. Stansbury as a replacement for Lt. John Goethel, BOM.  On a mission to Merseburg, his ship was struck while returning to base by the aircraft of Lt. A.S. Spear and both ships were lost over the north Atlantic.
