Memorial window at Elveden Church in Elveden, England, dedicated to the memory
of personnel of the Third Air Division who lost their lives during World War II
is flanked by U.S. and British flags at unveiling ceremonies. Representing
U. S. Air Forces in Europe was Brigadier General Harold Q. Huglin, Assistant
Chief of Staff, Major General Clayton E. Bissel, U. S. Military Attaché at
American Embassy in London, represented General Carl A. Spaatz, AAF, Commanding
General. High-ranking RAF officers and British dignitaries were at the
